Salary Range: ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month

Job Time: 10 AM to 7 PM

Job Overview:

The Fabric Merchandiser at Topman International Ltd is responsible for sourcing and managing fabric procurement, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality fabrics. The role requires strong communication with suppliers and internal teams, maintaining inventory, and supporting the production process to meet the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabric Sourcing & Procurement:
   • Source fabrics from suppliers based on design requirements.
   • Negotiate prices and manage relationships with fabric vendors.
   • Ensure timely delivery of fabrics, meeting both quality and cost requirements.
2. Inventory Management:
   • Maintain optimal fabric inventory levels.
   • Track fabric orders and manage reorders based on production needs.
3. Supplier Coordination:
   • Work with suppliers to ensure fabric quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
   • Address any issues with fabric defects or delivery delays.
4. Cost Management:
   • Monitor fabric procurement costs to ensure they stay within budget.
   • Suggest cost-saving measures while maintaining fabric quality.
5. Quality Control:
   • Inspect fabrics to ensure they meet the company’s standards for quality.
   • Ensure all fabrics match the required specifications.
6. Coordination with Production Teams:
   • Liaise with production to ensure timely availability of fabrics.
   • Adjust fabric orders based on changes in production requirements.
7. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of fabric purchases, supplier agreements, and inventory.
   • Provide reports on fabric usage and costs to management.
8. Trend & Market Research:
   • Stay updated on fabric trends and innovations.
   • Attend fabric fairs and exhibitions to source new materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in fabric merchandising or a similar role.
• Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and garment production.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with local and international fabric suppliers.
• Familiarity with quality control processes for textiles.

Work Environment:

• Full-time position based at Topman International Ltd’s office in Rajlaxmi Commercial Complex, Bhiwandi.
• Working hours are 10 AM to 7 PM.
• Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits or fabric fairs.
